Home of Bomb The Bass; Information on Tim Simenon's Bomb The Bass project...

Bomb The Bass came out of the late 80's acid house club culture with Beat Dis in 1988, which incorporated a pioneering eclectic collage of samples. Tim's first album Into The Dragon followed and included the hit singles Megablast and Say A Little Prayer. Then came the first of many production projects as Tim Simenon worked with Neneh Cherry on two of her singles, Buffalo Stance and Manchild. Always looking to innovate Tim remixed his Megablast song for use on the Commodore Amiga game Xenon 2.

Tim's second album Unknown Territory come out in 1991 and showed Bomb The Bass was creating a blueprint for much of the trip-hop music that followed. It included the single Winter In July and Air You Breath. Tim Simenon finally moved to a major label for the follow up Clear in 1995. The music was clearly more refined and interesting and included collaborations with Will Self, Sinead O'Connor and Justin Warfield. The breakout success was without doubt Bug Powder Dust a song written about the novel Naked Lunch.

Simenon's remixes have been consistent and wide ranging ranging from Massive Attack through to Bjork. In 1997, Tim Simenon produced Depeche Mode's finest album titled Ultra.

In the year 2000 he setup the record label Electric Tones.
